According to a new study you should take up the diet plan which matches your genes to get effective results for your efforts in weight loss. Study reveals that some people do better on a low fat diet plan while some others succeed in losing weight on a low carb diet.

Considering the study results which was carried out on women, when they were put on diets that were well matched to their genes, as defined by the test, they seem to have lost 5 times more of weight than the other women group who were on mismatched diets.
Originally gene testing was carried out to detect risks of cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease. Other syndromes like stuttering and leg jiggling was also linked to genes. But recent research links genes to weight loss also.
