The truth about the apple diet

The key to losing weight or to maintain an ideal weight is not just to eat less but to eat more sensible meals. You can prevent yourself from feeling hungry if you eat more frequent but smaller meals. If these meals include enough fiber and proteins and you consume enough water you will feel fuller for a longer period and hence will not have the urge to snack often.

Eating late until you go to bed at night may cause improper sleep at night as your body is forced to use its energy on digestion and as a result  can cause stomach bloating and gas due to improper digestion.  Hence the rule of thumb is to stop eating 3 hours before going to bed at night. So its wise to cut down the late night snack.

But it is always good to eat something healthy like a piece of fruit like apple or a very small handful of nuts before going to bed. Apples contain soluble fiber, called pectin, and the sugar content present in the fruit make them quite a satisfying snack giving a slow, gentle rise in blood sugar and helps keep one’s metabolism going.
